Clean water, happy future!
For our Drop Down Day, we were visited by a member of Thames Water Trust, who gave us an overview of the River Thames, river wildlife and environmental issues caused by pollution. We also visited our local body of water and carried out a water pollution experiment to see how different pollutants impacted living pond weed and algae.
'For our science experiment, we used various bottles of pond water to investigate how polluted and dirty the water would become, but we have to wait two weeks for the results. It was really fun! We then had a workshop about the Thames River and its history. Did you know the Thames Water is not badly polluted but is clean and salty?' - Maryam N
